Houtz CPA LLC was founded by David Houtz in 2017 with a vision to provide personalized accounting services. Starting with a small client list, David’s dedication and expertise quickly grew the firm through word-of-mouth referrals. From a humble two-room office in Upper Chichester Township to our current location at the Office Court at Pennell Place in Middletown Township, Houtz CPA has expanded to serve over 250 individuals, 30 companies, and 15 nonprofits. Our goal remains to better serve our clients and continuously improve our services.

Owner
David is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Delaware and Pennsylvania, with 20 years of experience in public accounting, including 15 years as a licensed CPA. He lives outside of Philadelphia and primarily works in Delaware County, PA. David has a passion for tax preparation and financial planning, appreciating the complexities and challenges they present.
David is an active member of the Chichester Rotary Club in Delaware County, PA. He supports Rotary International and the Rotary Foundation’s missions to eradicate polio and establish humanitarian efforts both locally and globally. The Chichester Rotary Club organizes fundraisers throughout the year to support scholarships for local high school seniors, an annual meal for seniors, and Thanksgiving turkeys and holiday toys for those in need.

Employee of the Month
Taxes, our Timneh African Grey, is the beloved mascot of Houtz CPA. Known as the employee of the month every month, Taxes brings joy and levity to the office. His primary responsibilities include document shredding and keeping the team entertained. We believe his hatch day was in June 2019, and he’s been a cherished member of our team ever since.
